In early 1900's my Great-greatgrandfather Wincenty(Vincent Gryczanowski) Gryczan was sent to Amerika at about 18yrs., by his grandfather Kajetan Gryczan after his father past away. Vincent's sister Mary Gryczan arrived in the Amerika first living in New Jersey. He had to wait for his grandfather to save up enough to send him. When Vincent came here, he sailed on the Arcadia out of Hamburg, Germany. After coming to Amerika is when he added the "owski" to his surname.
